During the last three years the European Bible Training Center has had the privilege of hosting Counseling Seminars around Germany and Switzerland, showing how to apply God's Word to life’s problems. Without exception, church members attending the seminars respond with thankfulness and even excitement as they realize that God's Word is all-sufficient to deal effectively with any counseling issue in the church.

Many pastors as well as other Christians have been intimidated by "professional counselors" who claim that the church can’t help a person in every area because the Bible is not sufficient to deal with difficult psychological problems. During the seminars, attendees heard and read in the Scripture that the Bible is sufficient and has the solution for any problem that man faces. We need only to know the Scripture well and practice applying it in our own lives as well as with hurting people, with love and patience.

One woman came up after one of the meetings admitting that what was taught represented her relationship with her husband. Realizing it was her own heart and attitude that needed to change, she purposed to do so. The following day she reported that her husband was very surprised with her change in attitude, and was very supportive of what she is learning.

The seminars demonstrated the importance of studying God’s all-sufficient Word in order to effectively counsel weak and hurting people in the church.
