Partnership Opportunities

Samara Preachers' Assistance Program provides several unique opportunities for individuals and churches to participate in the gospel ministry in the country of Russia. The following are the current needs that the ministry has:
(1) Preachers' Conference
Need: $30,000
Description: Our 9th annual Preachers' Conference is just around the corner in the Fall of 2010. Coming off of our biggest conference ever last year with nearly 600 attendees, we have high expectations for the coming conference. Pastors and church leaders from all over the country, as well as neighboring countries will descend upon Samara for 3 days of teaching, worship, fellowship and prayer. For many of these men, the opportunity to fellowship with other passionate, Christ-loving ministers on this scale is a rare treat. $30,000 is needed in order to put on this conference. That means that just $50 will provide food, housing, and free books and resources for one pastor for the entire three days.
(2) Russian Rights to William Mounce's Basics of Biblical Greek
Need: $600
Description: The US publisher Zondervan has agreed to give us the rights to publish William Mounce’s textbook, Basics of Biblical Greek, in the Russian language. This textbook is one of the most popular textbooks in evangelical seminaries in the West, and we believe it can play a crucial role in our strategy to make learning New Testament Greek much more accessible for serious Russian-speaking students of the Bible. $600 is needed to purchase these rights from the publisher.
(3) Publication of Bi-Annual Theological Journal
Need: $2,500
Description: Ongoing funds are needed to support the publication of our bi-annual theological journal: The Pulpit Almanac. The first edition was released in October of 2009 with the theme of "Expository Preaching." The Spring 2010 edition was dedicated to the doctrine of "Sola Scriptura." Our Fall 2010 edition will be devoted to "Baptism" and $2,500 is needed to publish this edition. These journals have been well received and are already making an impact on Russian pastors in Russia,Ukraine, Germany, and America. Please partner with us in this strategic ministry so that we can continue producing these journals.
(4) Support a Graduate
Need: $500 per month for one year
Description: In Russia, as a general rule, pastors of evangelical churches do not receive much, if any, financial support. The result is that most pastors have to work at least part time in order to feed their families, which means churches do not have a shepherd who is able to devote himself fully to the flock and to the preaching of the Word of God. Our goal is that those men who have been given significant ministry opportunities and who desire to serve in the church full-time would be able to do that without needing to look for secular work. This is the model laid out in 1 Tim. 5:17-18 and we believe this support will have a great effect on the local church. We are looking for partners who will support a graduate for one year and allow them to serve the church whole-heartedly during this time.
