Praise and Prayer

Prayer needs:

Please remember to prayer for our faculty and students as we start our classes in September. A special prayer request well as for two of our students that are deaf and will need to work through an interpreter.

Our Shepherd’s Conference (Sep. 4-6th) in Zürich with Mark Dever, John MacArthur and Stephen Lonetti from America and Swiss speakers were Benedikt Peters and Johannes Pflaum has been a great encouragement for all of us. We had all around great teaching on the topic of The Mission of the Church and The Responsibility of Teaching and Living the Gospel. We are thankful for the details that went so smoothly. Thank you for praying! We decided to have our Shepherd’s Conference this year in Zurich and next year it will be in Bonn. With these conferences, we want to go to the regions where most of the independent churches in Germany are located. Now that we have graduated students in different areas, we have churches where we can host the conferences.

www.ebtc-media.org Book publishing has been part of our ministry since being here in Germany for the past 11 years. Gratefully we can look back and see how God has used this as a tool to bring sound Bible teaching into the church here. Just in a few days, the book Biblical Preaching from the Master’s Seminary faculty will be hot off the press! This is one book among 60+ works that we have helped to bring on to the market. But this particular book is the first book published as an EBTC edition. This will be a part of a band of books that will be focusing on Christian leadership and Reference works. Please pray for this part of the ministry, that it will be well received by the Christian community. We need good solid Christian reference books!

Need for Faculty Help – Please pray for us as we continue to need German-speaking faculty as the EBTC is growing.

Need for material support – Presently we have nine separate classes in 2 locations, which include about 75 students. This requires that we have more equipment (video projectors and screens, white boards, and a new copy machine). We do try to work with the equipment that is at the church we work at, but more often we need multiple equipment. Need for wisdom in planning – We are incredibly thankful for the growth in ministry here. We are personally challenged to as we learn to pass some responsibility to others and to stay focused on the right priorities. Presently we have 14 regular teachers that are teaching every month and another 10 men that come as guest teachers.

Conference with Alexey Kolomtiytsev in Dortmund, Germany – We were pleased to have Alexey and Tanya in our home for 2 days! He spoke in Dortmond to 250+ Russian-speaking people. It is such an encouragement to work with like-minded training centers!
