Samara Preachers’ Institute and Theological Seminary hosts an annual three-day Preachers’ Conference in Samara. The conference provides Russian preachers with a time of much-needed encouragement and fellowship, exhortation from the Word, and instruction on contemporary theological and ministry issues.

Purpose

The purpose of the annual Preachers’ Conference is to encourage church leaders from around the country to more biblical ministry through powerful expository preaching, practical seminars on pertinent doctrinal and ministry issues facing the church, distribution of key theological resources, and rich fellowship with other leaders sharing the same desires and challenges.

Impact

The Annual Preachers' Conference began in 2002 as a regional conference for church leaders in the surrounding states, with a special emphasis on Bible exposition. Since then, the conference has grown not only in number of attendees, but also in its reach. The 2009 conference, with John Piper as the guest speaker, had nearly 600 men in attendance from all over the country and even several neighboring countries. The conference has become an annual highlight for hundreds of men who would otherwise have no opportunity for such fellowship, encouragement, and exhortation.

In addition to being a time of fellowship and exhortation, the conference is also a key recruitment tool to promote the training of Samara Preachers’ Institute & Theological Seminary. Many of the men who hear the preaching and teaching of the conference desire to receive more in-depth training. The conference is an ideal time to avail these men of the opportunity for training at Samara Theological Seminary.

2010 Conference

Building off of the momentum of the 2009 Conference, we are anticipating great things from this year's conference. Tom Pennington will be the special guest speaker and conference attendees will also be challenged and encouraged by other of STS's Russian preachers and pastors. Below is a schedule for the upcoming conference which will take place in October. We are anxiously anticipating our time with the many pastors and church leaders who will come for this conference.
