Or is God the God of Jews only? Is He not the God of Gentiles also? Yes, of Gentiles also.

Both the evangelization of sinners and the fraternal coexistence of Christians have the same obstacle: personal pretentiousness and exaggerated self-importance. In the first century Roman church, some of the Jewish Christians struggled with a prejudiced view of the gospel, salvation, and God. It became an issue that diminished the sanctifying power of the gospel and the missionary power of the church. Boast in our Savior and proclaim the gospel without reservation or discrimination. So, Paul had to resolve this issue by affirming that the Gentile had as much right as the Jew to turn to God. God judges the sinner impartially and finds him guilty, but He also saves the sinner and declares him justified in the same manner. No matter the reputation of the sinner, good or bad, to God all are guilty sinners; and for each of them, there is only one solution: to be justified by faith in Jesus. The God of the gospel universally and impartially manifests His saving power to sinners, regardless of their merit so that no one may boast. Beloved brothers and sisters, bask in the glory of God, humbly proclaiming the gospel to believers and unbelievers. Don’t diminish the power of the gospel, but boast in it. Boast in our Savior and proclaim the gospel without reservation or discrimination. Girolamo Savonarola, an Italian forerunner of the Reformation, said that you can go to paradise if you want to, because your Savior, Christ, has gone there, but know that it is not by your own nature or by your own virtue that you will reach that place. Praise God for sending His Son to die so that we—Jews and Gentiles—might live!
