Who We Are

As churches around the world strive to obey the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20), they are confronted with the Great Dilemma: “How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher?” – Romans 10:14 read more

Mission Mobilization Memo

A report from the Malawi
Central African Preaching Academy

In Malawi, reliable theological resources are almost nonexistent. To obtain such materials, pastors and other Bible students would have to import them from South Africa, India, the United States, or other such countries. For pastors in the African context, this simply is just not financially possible.

To respond to the astounding need for biblical resources in Malawi, Central African Preaching Academy (CAPA) is making available two commentaries from the MacArthur Bible Commentary Series: Ephesians and Colossians/Philemon. These volumes will provide reliable Bible exposition to pastors throughout Malawi where English is one of the national languages. Working with the publisher of the commentary series in America, CAPA has arranged for the publishing of the two titles in Malawi for nearly 25% of what it would cost to purchase the books in the U.S. and ship them to Malawi.

Please consider what part you will play in helping to provide for this crucial resource project. The cost to print 1,000 copies is approximately $5,000 per title or $10,000 for both commentaries. Thanks to a generous donor, any gift received before the end of October 2014 toward this project will be matched, up to a total of $5,000. Your support can make a real difference.

Josh is serving as Youth Pastor at Auckland Bible Church—a suburban church with tremendous gospel outreach potential in the largest city in New Zealand. Zohar is serving as an evangelist to thousands of Jewish tourists to New Zealand each year in Oamaru. Reuben is currently pursuing further theological studies at The Master’s Seminary in Los Angeles and plans to return to pastoral ministry in New Zealand in 2014. These are three faithful men whom the Lord is using in mighty ways.

What I heard here opened my eyes more to see the need for people who teach how to study and teach the truth. I want to deepen my studying and my understanding and do better with what the Lord gave me to do in my church.
