KEY DETAILS ON BEREA SEMINARY
About
-
Berea Seminary exists to train pastors and church leaders to faithfully proclaim all the counsel of God for the advancement of the Gospel and the edification of the Church, all for His glory.
-
Train the current and next generation of pastors in expository preaching.
Partner with local churches in the equipping of believers for the work of ministry.
Collaborate with our graduates in the establishment of biblical Churches.
Promote the sufficiency of Scripture and the centrality of Christ.
Emphasize godly character over ministerial capability.
-
We use a modular hybrid model. We meet for an intensive weekend every other month for lectures and fellowship. Then the students complete their assignments every week online through Canvas for the next eight weeks. Every student has a personal mentor who is a pastor and professor, whom not only grades their homework, but also has regular one on one discipleship with them. Besides fulfilling the biblical, theological and ministerial academic requirements, the students need to be involved and serving in their local Church.
Training
-
Bible Certificate: A one-year program for church members and leaders on Old Testament and New Testament Survey, and introduction to Hermeneutics, Theology and Church ministry.
Master in Expository Preaching: A three-year program for pastors, elders and men who have a preaching and teaching ministry in the context of their local Church. This training focuses on hermeneutics, exegesis, preaching and pastoral classes.
Master in Pastoral Ministries: A stackable three-year program on top of the Master in Expository Preaching that completes their training with in depth Bible and Theology.

Our school was founded in 2010 with a conference taught by our founding president, David Robles, in partnership with Iglesia Evangélica de Leon. A year later, a training preaching program started with seven men from the same local Church. Soon enough, by word of mouth other church leaders and pastors requested the same kind of training which lead to extensions in Southern Spain (Andalusia and Murcia). Today, our seminary headquarters continues in Leon with different extensions in Spain, but also in other countries like Portugal and Dominican Republic. By God´s grace we have over 300 graduates that represent more than 80 churches in Spain, Portugal, France, Germany, England, Dominican Republic, Ecuador and North Africa. Currently, we have 170 active students and a faculty of 30 professors and mentors.
-
In God´s will, we pray to faithfully continue training pastors and church leaders in Spain, Portugal and Dominican Republic, but also helping to start new training centers in the Ibero-America region. Our final aim is to glorify God through the faithful biblical training of pastors and Church leaders, so more biblical Churches can be established for the extension of the Gospel and the edification of the believers until Christ returns.

A major European power in the 16th and 17th centuries, Spain experienced rapid social and economic change after the death of the dictator Francisco Franco in 1975. In 1986, Spain became part of the EU, further boosting its already growing economy. It is the fourth-largest economy in the euro-zone today. Parallel to this economic rise came a disintegration of the moral and religious fabric of the nation. The rise in secularism brought along with it increasing levels of alcohol and drug addiction, gambling, prostitution, depression, and mental health issues among the younger generation. Unemployment remains high among the youth. Spain’s birthrate is one of the lowest in the world due to these factors and easy availability of abortion services.
