We offer a range of courses from introductory subjects such as Bible survey to advanced studies in hermeneutics, systematic theology, and Greek. The foundational program, called Biblical studies, spans two years and includes Bible survey, practical theology, systematic theology, and Bible interpretation. Graduates may continue with either a two-year Bible counseling track or a two-year Preachers’ Program (for men only), followed by an optional online Greek course.
Our programs follow a modular format. Instruction takes place in person one weekend per month, while all assignments are completed online via the Canvas platform.
Spiritual and character formation is a core part of our mission. As part of the admissions process, each student must provide a character reference from their local church leadership. Throughout their studies, students are placed in small groups led by mature Christian mentors who meet with them monthly to support their academic progress and spiritual growth.

The Czech Bible Institute (CBI) was founded in 2010 in response to a growing need for solid biblical training among Czech church leaders and believers. It began through the efforts of local pastors and missionaries of the Baptist Church of Kroměříž (now known as the Bible Fellowship Church of Kroměříž) who shared a vision for equipping the church with sound doctrine and practical ministry skills. Starting with just a handful of students and a few intensive courses, CBI has since grown into a trusted training center offering theological education through modular classes, conferences, and pastoral mentoring. Key milestones include the establishment of partnerships with international seminaries (e.g., EBTC Berlin, TMAI) and the launch of specialized programs focused on expository preaching and church leadership. Today, CBI continues to grow numerically (last year we had about 90 students total, two study locations, and students from both the Czech and Slovakia) as well as in the number and quality of study programs we offer (we offer 4 study programs now).

Czech Bible Institute seeks to strengthen the evangelical church across the Czech Republic and Central Europe. To broaden our impact, we aim to maintain two campuses—strategically located to serve both the western and eastern regions of the country. Long-term, we are envisioning the establishment of a Slovakian Bible Institute and have begun partnering with a church plant in Slovakia that may play a key role in this effort.

Formerly the Austro-Hungarian Empire, Czechoslovakia emerged out of the aftermath of World War I as a parliamentarian democracy. In February 1948, Czechoslovakia fell under Soviet Communist influence until the Velvet Revolution of 1989 initiated a return to democracy. In 1993, the nation peacefully divided into two separate national entities—the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Despite its ancient Christian heritage, there is little true biblical Christianity present. Spirituality is disconnected from the institution of the church, especially among the younger generation.
